헤티 그린(Hetty Green, 1835 ~ 1916)은 ‘월가의 마녀’란 별칭으로 더욱 익숙하다. 그녀는 지금까지도 전설처럼 회자하는 복리(複利)의 마법사로 ‘역사상 최고의 부를 이룬 여성’이다. 또 19세기 미국 자본사에서 록펠러, 밴더빌트, 카네기, JP모건 등과 더불어 결코 빠트릴 수 없는 거물 자본가이다.
